Role & Responsibilities
- Train in the finishing and assembly (habillage) of watches under supervision, including fitting movements, dials and hands into cases.
- Operate, set up and learn programming basics of CNC machinery used for machining and finishing watch components (option Commandes Numériques).
- Perform precision finishing tasks such as deburring, polishing, brushing and surface treatment to meet strict aesthetic and dimensional tolerances.
- Inspect components and assemblies using micrometers, calipers and other metrology instruments; document quality checks and non-conformities.
- Read and apply technical drawings, work instructions and process sheets; adhere to cleanroom and safety procedures.
- Participate in vocational school coursework (CFC) and apply theoretical learning to practical shop-floor assignments.
Qualifications
- Completed compulsory schooling; candidates typically hold a lower secondary school certificate or equivalent suitable for entry into a Swiss CFC apprenticeship.
