Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the quality department in inspection and dimensional control of microtechnical components and assemblies under supervision.
- Perform precision measurements using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and optical microscopes; record and report results accurately.
- Execute visual inspections for surface quality, tolerances and finishing, and flag nonconformities following established procedures.
- Maintain inspection equipment, ensure calibration status and support housekeeping of the metrology bench.
- Document inspection results in quality records and traceability logs; assist in corrective action follow-up and nonconformance reporting.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training, technical schooling and apprenticeship assessments; apply safety and cleanroom rules where applicable.
- Collaborate with production and assembly teams to understand manufacturing processes and continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Eligible candidate for a Swiss apprenticeship (apprentissage) leading to a CFC in microtechnology or equivalent vocational training route.
