Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan, perform, interpret and present material characterisation and equipment tests within R&D laboratories.
  • Prepare and maintain test setups: design, assemble, commission and qualify measurement equipment and bespoke test fixtures.
  • Ensure the correct execution of measurement procedures and maintain the laboratory equipment inventory and calibration status.
  • Record, analyse and document test results clearly and precisely to support engineering teams.
  • Support day‑to‑day laboratory operations including basic maintenance, housekeeping and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Interest and strong academic performance in physics, mathematics, mechanics and/or electronics.
  • Rigor, precision and an analytical mindset with good written communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity, practical problem‑solving ability and comfort working with small mechanical and electronic assemblies.
  • Aptitude with computers and basic data handling tools; willingness to learn specialised measurement instrumentation.
  • Team spirit, initiative and the motivation to undertake a formal apprenticeship programme.
  • Application dossier: curriculum vitae, cover letter, school reports for the last three years and registration/results for the EVA and EVATech assessments (as indicated in the advert).
