Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, perform, interpret and present material characterisation and equipment tests within R&D laboratories.
- Prepare and maintain test setups: design, assemble, commission and qualify measurement equipment and bespoke test fixtures.
- Ensure the correct execution of measurement procedures and maintain the laboratory equipment inventory and calibration status.
- Record, analyse and document test results clearly and precisely to support engineering teams.
- Support day‑to‑day laboratory operations including basic maintenance, housekeeping and adherence to safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Interest and strong academic performance in physics, mathematics, mechanics and/or electronics.
- Rigor, precision and an analytical mindset with good written communication skills.
- Manual dexterity, practical problem‑solving ability and comfort working with small mechanical and electronic assemblies.
- Aptitude with computers and basic data handling tools; willingness to learn specialised measurement instrumentation.
- Team spirit, initiative and the motivation to undertake a formal apprenticeship programme.
- Application dossier: curriculum vitae, cover letter, school reports for the last three years and registration/results for the EVA and EVATech assessments (as indicated in the advert).

Experience
No prior professional experience is required; this is an apprenticeship position intended for candidates coming from secondary education who demonstrate strong aptitude in scientific subjects and practical workshop experience.
Education
Secondary education completed or in progress with strong results in physics and mathematics; eligibility for a Swiss apprenticeship (CFC) or equivalent vocational training pathway.
