Rolex — Aesthetic Quality Representative in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland: lead aesthetic control, component qualification and production support for Supplies.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the aesthetic reference for Supplies components, both in-process and on finished parts.
- Support production in meeting aesthetic targets and tolerances during serial production and at the introduction of new products or processes.
- Assess and issue derogation decisions with consideration of perceived customer risk and product integrity.
- Coach, support and enable workshop contacts to apply and disseminate established aesthetic criteria autonomously.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives in a structured manner, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring adherence to defined milestones.
- Qualify components from an aesthetic perspective and contribute to acceptance / release decisions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in aesthetic quality control within the watchmaking industry.
- Demonstrated track record as an aesthetic referent or recognised technical expertise in related craft.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with standard office software and basic quality control tools.
- Sound decision‑making skills, including under pressure, combined with rigor, autonomy and a collaborative spirit.
Skills
Experience
Significant, demonstrable experience in aesthetic inspection and quality control within horology, including previous responsibility as the aesthetic point of contact or equivalent technical authority.
Education
Vocational diploma or degree in watchmaking, mechanical engineering, quality assurance, or an equivalent technical qualification.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Biel/Bienne, Bern, Switzerland.
