RIMOWA seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager in Cambridge, Ontario to lead warehouse operations, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives within a luxury manufacturing environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control all warehouse activities to ensure efficient and effective operations, including receiving, inspection, labeling, and storage of incoming materials and components
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize material flow, inventory accuracy, and storage utilization, applying 5S methods and lean principles
  • Oversee picking, packing, staging, and loading/unloading of materials and finished goods; coordinate with carriers and logistics providers for timely deliveries
  • Lead and manage warehouse optimization projects, including space utilization studies, layout redesigns, and evaluation of innovative warehousing technologies (carousels, AGVs, robotics)
  • Manage inventory control systems through cycle counting and physical inventories to ensure accuracy; monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and production planning
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of forklift operators, material handlers, and shipping/receiving personnel; conduct performance reviews and foster continuous improvement
  • Continuously analyze warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and service levels; implement lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations including OSHA compliance; conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to track inventory movements and optimize storage locations
  • Analyze complex materials and inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and create comprehensive reports with action plans for management review

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with inventory maintenance, manufacturing processes, and industry standards
  • Proven experience managing and leading a warehouse team to performance targets
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, including cycle counting, physical inventory, and inventory optimization
  • Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and best practices
  • Capable of attaining and holding certification on forklift and reach trucks
