RIMOWA in Cologne seeks a Team Leader, Final Assembly — permanent full-time role leading final assembly production, quality and maintenance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide disciplinary and technical leadership for line personnel; coach and develop team members.
- Conduct annual employee reviews as part of the ICR & RISE performance processes.
- Document employee qualifications and define training and development plans.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements for health & safety, and safe operation of machines and equipment.
- Meet agreed efficiency and quality targets for the final assembly line.
- Manage on-time completion of production orders; document rework, perform root-cause analysis and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure availability of materials, consumables and tools required for continuous production.
- Oversee maintenance, servicing and upkeep of machinery and tools; maintain order and cleanliness in the area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Completed technical vocational training in metalworking or related field; further qualification as Meister/Techniker is advantageous.
- Minimum three years of relevant production experience.
- Prior disciplinary or technical supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Practical knowledge of Lean Production and process optimisation is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills, high quality awareness and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrable responsibility and assertiveness in a supervisory role.
- Basic MS Office skills.
- Fluent German (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in production, ideally within metalworking or industrial assembly; prior team leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is expected.
Education
Technical vocational qualification in metalworking or equivalent; Meister/Techniker certification advantageous.
