RIMOWA (LVMH) in Cologne seeks a Team Lead, Operational Procurement to lead the procurement team and drive SAP-led process optimisation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the operational procurement team, including capacity planning and individual development.
- Own and manage the end-to-end ordering process to ensure timely availability of raw materials and avoid production bottlenecks.
- Develop warehousing and inventory strategies, optimise stock levels and manage indirect production-related procurements.
- Actively manage a key category or critical supplier, including contract execution, performance monitoring and escalation handling.
- Drive continuous improvement, digitalisation and automation of operational purchasing processes (e.g., within SAP ERP).
- Maintain purchasing master data and produce regular KPI reports (delivery reliability, lead times) to inform stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary interface with strategic purchasing, production and supply chain to align operational and strategic objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct operational evaluations and resolve complaints or delivery disruptions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in operational procurement, including 2–3 years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
- Proven track record in inventory management, supplier relationship management and operational purchasing.
- Demonstrated experience driving process optimisation and digitalisation initiatives, particularly within SAP ERP.
- Strong analytical ability for KPI reporting and purchasing master data management.
- Fluent in German and English; French is a plus.

Minimum 5 years of operational procurement experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or team lead role; demonstrable experience in supplier management, inventory control and process digitalisation (SAP ERP).
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
