RIMOWA seeks Supply Chain Manager for Cologne factory. Lead planning, logistics, and production operations—ERP expertise and manufacturing background required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, stock management, internal material flows, and factory logistics, including intercompany coordination of semi-finished products
- Ensure uninterrupted material supply to production operations while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards
- Optimize warehouse structures, spatial utilization, and internal transport concepts; assume accountability for inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and inventory visibility
- Direct short-, medium-, and long-term production and capacity planning in alignment with central supply chain organization, production, and procurement functions
- Manage weekly production schedules, coordinate real-time adjustments, and escalate deviations appropriately
- Ensure pre-production areas meet required capacity and production targets to achieve established service levels
- Lead teams responsible for warehousing, internal logistics, and production planning functions
- Foster close collaboration with procurement, quality, production, and central supply chain teams to promote a performance and continuous-improvement oriented culture
- Drive ongoing enhancement of supply chain processes at the facility and leverage/develop ERP and planning systems
- Define and monitor key performance indicators including OTIF, inventory accuracy, and internal safety stock targets
Qualifications
- Completed degree in logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a leadership capacity
- Demonstrated leadership experience and proficiency with ERP systems
- Structured, assertive, and analytical working methodology
- Proven capability to rapidly grasp complex operational issues and devise solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to fostering a performance- and improvement-focused team culture
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years in supply chain functions within a manufacturing facility, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role. Leadership of warehouse, logistics, or production planning teams is expected.
Education
Completed degree in logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or equivalent professional qualification.
