RIMOWA seeks a Senior Retail Operations Manager in Paris to lead global retail excellence, oversee compliance, and optimize operations across five regions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define, deploy, and monitor comprehensive retail and franchise commercial procedures and policies across all markets
- Oversee finance and internal control procedures, including discount management, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols, sanction list adherence, and tax refund processes
- Orchestrate the annual update and cascade of the store handbook, integrating procedural changes to all regions
- Lead inventory compliance control, managing inventory rules and best practices including receiving, transfers, discrepancies, and shrinkage monitoring; supervise fiscal inventories across the global network
- Direct the Retail IT roadmap, optimizing hardware, software, connectivity solutions, POS tools, and reporting systems; drive optimization and updating of operational IT procedures
- Pioneer optimization of in-store workload by balancing front and back office tasks, implementing task automation and process improvements, and managing 360-degree retro-planning
- Steer in-store operations with focus on standardizing uniform guidelines, optimizing collaterals and shopping bag flow, enhancing packaging and labeling, and ensuring robust Health & Safety standards
- Lead standardization of client experience elements across all markets, including hospitality protocols and special project support for flagship launches, pop-ups, and bespoke offerings
- Forge and maintain collaborative relationships with Internal Control, IT, Supply Chain, E-commerce/Omnichannel, Client Care, CRM, and five commercial regions
- Provide critical operational support to retail operations and retail & franchise managers in the regions, and lead communication initiatives to regional offices and stores
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mastery of retail operational culture (boutique, stock, POS, processes, finance) with profound understanding of omnichannel and client care impacts in-store
- Expert command of Retail IT tools, with CEGID experience as a significant asset
- Extensive and proven experience in international retail operations, ideally within the fashion and luxury sector
- Exceptional track record managing and successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects
- Superior analytical capabilities with ability to translate data into actionable strategies
- Fluent English required; proficiency in German, Chinese, or French strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-growing, multicultural environments
- Entrepreneurial spirit with pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to challenges
- Collaborative leadership style with unwavering reliability and support for critical functions
