RIMOWA seeks Senior IT Backoffice Project Manager in Cologne, Germany to lead SAP S/4HANA and enterprise systems transformation. Full-time hybrid role with 10+ years ERP implementation experience required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic analysis and solution definition by conducting in-depth assessment of existing processes, solutions, and data across production, quality, engineering, supply chain, R&D, product, and sales departments to identify improvement opportunities and guide integrated solution design
  • Develop, execute, and oversee comprehensive project plans for implementing core business solutions including SAP S/4HANA (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution), PLM, Collaborative Applications, and QA tools, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality benchmarks
  • Assemble and lead a cross-functional project committee ensuring alignment and informed decision-making across all involved departments and stakeholders
  • Foster effective collaboration with external consultants, internal technical teams, and business units throughout the full project lifecycle to achieve integrated solutions and seamless execution
  • Oversee the complete implementation of solutions, maintaining strict adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and industry best practices
  • Coordinate with IT teams to plan, execute, and validate all necessary system integrations effectively
  • Develop and manage comprehensive change management strategies to drive user adoption and organizational acceptance of new systems and processes across all business units

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field
  • Proven track record of 7+ years successfully leading and delivering complex IT system transformation programs and projects
  • Strong expertise in managing complex ERP implementations with significant experience in SAP, ideally including exposure to S/4HANA transformations
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Quality Assurance (QA) solution landscapes
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes, procurement, quality management, engineering, supply chain, R&D, product development, and sales operations
  • Exemplary project management capabilities including planning, execution, risk management, and budget control
  • Exceptional leadership and cross-functional team management abilities with external vendors
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent English and intermediate German; French is a plus
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of working time, particularly during rollout phases
