Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee homologation of materials, components, and products throughout the development process, ensuring compliance with regulatory, RIMOWA, and LVMH standards
• Lead and review product risk analyses and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) on a regular basis to identify and mitigate quality risks
• Define and update internal guidelines, product quality standards, and test specifications in collaboration with the Homologation Lab
• Identify missing material, component, and product tests or devices and implement these in collaboration with the Homologation Lab to ensure comprehensive validation
• Ensure smooth transition to production by transferring responsibility to quality assurance with complete documentation and adherence to all standards
• Continuously improve testing and reporting workflows to enhance efficiency and data integrity
• Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements including REACH, Proposition 65, GB Standards, and LVMH standards, collaborating with internal and external compliance consultants
• Serve as key contact between internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external laboratories to coordinate compliance-related testing and resolve conflicts
• Communicate and document compliance test results with clear traceability and archiving
• Collaborate closely with project managers, development engineers, and cross-functional teams to maintain alignment on quality objectives
• Regularly engage with the Client Care Center regarding customer feedback and update internal quality guidelines accordingly
• Facilitate quality meetings and reviews during development phases to ensure stakeholder alignment
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to senior management and project teams
• Track project milestones to ensure quality deliverables are met on schedule
• Report on quality status at key project milestones and escalate issues for timely resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline
• Master's degree in a relevant field (beneficial)
• Minimum 4–5 years of demonstrated experience in product homologation and/or advanced quality planning
• Proven experience in quality assurance and/or product compliance within manufacturing or consumer goods industries, with demonstrated expertise in plastic and metal component validation
• Specific experience in the luggage or luxury goods sector (highly valued)
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13849, or equivalent) and structured product development processes
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to identify potential quality issues early in the development cycle and recommend effective solutions
• Proficiency with quality control tools and methodologies including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail
• Fluent proficiency in both English and German language (written and spoken)

Experience

Minimum 4–5 years of practical work experience in product homologation and advanced quality planning environments, ideally within manufacturing, consumer goods, or luxury sectors. Demonstrated expertise in managing compliance with international regulatory standards and coordinating complex product validation processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is beneficial but not required.
