RIMOWA Procurement Planner — Toronto, ON. On-site role responsible for MRP execution, inventory optimisation and supplier coordination to support Cambridge production sites.
Role & Responsibilities
- Translate production schedules into material requirements and deploy supply plans via MRP to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Manage purchase orders and supplier execution to secure on-time delivery; monitor open POs and expedite or defer orders as inventory and schedules change.
- Define and maintain system planning parameters (MOQ, lead time, safety stock) and manage bills of material and product lifecycle implications.
- Coordinate inter-company material flows and oversee supplier ramp-up/ramp-down for new product introductions.
- Resolve day-to-day PO exceptions including invoice discrepancies, returns and quality issues, escalating when required.
- Determine optimal inventory levels using forecast, demand variability and lead-time analysis to minimise cost and obsolescence.
- Drive supplier relationships and local sourcing initiatives to reduce cost and carbon footprint; support supplier onboarding and compliance activities.
- Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives through process analysis, cross-functional collaboration and analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supply chain role with a direct manufacturer.
- Fluent English (oral and written) required; proficiency in French and/or German considered an asset.
- Professional certifications preferred: CPIM (APICS), CPSM, CPPB, or SCMP.
- Demonstrated experience with forecasting, MRP/ERP, inventory management, bills of material and procure-to-pay processes.

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement or materials planning within a direct manufacturing environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
