RIMOWA — Maintenance Mechatronics Technician in Cologne, Germany. Permanent full-time role in production maintenance at the LVMH maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance on machines and automated production equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Replace assemblies, wear parts and spare components on machinery and systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automated conveyor systems, including pallet conveyor installations.
- Maintain, update and where appropriate digitise machine and equipment documentation.
- Source spare parts, consumables and external service providers; support vendor-managed repairs and installations.
- Supervise, coordinate and document repair and assembly work executed by external contractors.
- Maintain maintenance logs and daily work reports; monitor and document inspection and test intervals.
- Support jigs/fixtures fabrication and occasional assembly work; enforce health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in Mechatronics or an equivalent trade (e.g., Energy & Systems Electrician, Automation Electronics Technician).
- Minimum three years' professional experience in industrial maintenance.
- Solid practical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics and mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to document work and maintain maintenance records.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, hands-on approach.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient German (written and spoken); English skills advantageous.

Experience
At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment with familiarity in maintaining automated machinery.
Education
Vocational qualification in Mechatronics or equivalent technical apprenticeship (e.g., Energy & Systems Electrician, Automation Electronics Technician).
