RIMOWA seeks Legal Trainee for IP referendariat in Cologne, Germany. Hands-on experience in luxury intellectual property, marketing law, and compliance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Review and draft marketing materials and agreements with photographers and creative professionals, ensuring legal compliance in international contexts
  • Handle intellectual property protection matters including trademark, design, patent, and competition law issues; participate actively in anti-counterfeiting enforcement and brand protection initiatives
  • Support the Legal & IP team across diverse corporate legal domains relevant to a luxury goods manufacturer
  • Assist with legal due diligence and compliance for research and development projects; coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration between legal and innovation teams
  • Draft agreements for influencer marketing partnerships and provide legal guidance on digital marketing initiatives

Qualifications

  • Completion of the first German legal state examination (Erstes Juristisches Staatsexamen) with above-average results
  • Strong interest in commercial law and the diverse legal areas of an internationally operating enterprise, particularly intellectual property
  • Excellent command of English in written and spoken form; French language skills advantageous
  • Independent and self-directed working style with a proactive, hands-on mentality
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for learning
