Rimowa IT Technical Project Manager

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects across Cloud & System, Network, Digital Workplace and Operations.
• Translate business requirements from retail, manufacturing, e‑commerce, CRM, customer care and finance into robust IT project plans and deliverables.
• Define expected deliverables (functional specifications, acceptance criteria, test plans) and ensure traceability through delivery.
• Control project scope, schedule, budget and quality; escalate risks and implement mitigation actions to meet commitments.
• Develop, implement and maintain project governance, methodologies and best practices across the IT Infrastructure team.
• Oversee project portfolio management and provide consolidated reporting to the Chief Technology Officer.
• Coordinate cross-functional, international teams and act as primary liaison between stakeholders and technical contributors across Europe, Asia and North America.
• Promote continuous improvement and champion project management standards and governance throughout the organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of project management experience with a strong IT infrastructure focus; experience in retail or luxury sectors preferred.
• Proven track record delivering cross‑functional transformation programmes in international organisations impacting multiple business units.
• Demonstrable experience leading cross‑disciplinary project teams and stakeholder governance forums.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and governance; PMP/Prince2/Agile certification or consulting experience is an advantage.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and define acceptance criteria.
• Fluent English and French required; German is a plus.
• Highly organised, assertive and able to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience

At least 8 years of progressive experience managing IT infrastructure projects and cross‑organizational transformation programmes, ideally with prior exposure to retail or luxury environments and international delivery across Europe, Asia and North America.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or formal project management certification preferred.
