RIMOWA in Paris seeks an Indirect Buyer – Store Planning to lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation and contract management for store fit-outs.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and deploy the purchasing strategy for assigned Store Planning categories, optimising cost, quality and lead times.
  • Support internal stakeholders in formalising needs, drafting specifications and managing calls for tender.
  • Source, select and negotiate with suppliers specialising in millwork, general contracting and architectural services.
  • Draft, review and validate commercial contracts in partnership with the Legal department.
  • Monitor supplier performance and internal client satisfaction, and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Lead supplier audits and ensure compliance with internal procedures and the group's CSR commitments.
  • Propose process improvements, conduct market intelligence and identify new opportunities for cost optimisation.
  • Manage multiple projects autonomously and deploy monitoring tools and decision-support metrics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six years of professional experience in a purchasing role within store planning, construction, fit-out or a closely related sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute category strategies and to implement commercial contracts.
  • Proven negotiation skills with track record managing suppliers such as millworkers, general contractors and architects.
  • Strong project-management capability, comfortable running several concurrent initiatives autonomously.
  • High attention to detail, pragmatic problem‑solving, and sound prioritisation in ambiguous, international environments.
  • Excellent communicator and fluent in English.

Experience

At least six years of experience in procurement/purchasing within store planning, construction, fit-out or a related industry, with demonstrable experience managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
