Rimowa in Cologne seeks an Incoming Goods Quality Inspector. Conduct incoming inspections, document results in CAQ and ensure material traceability.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform incoming goods inspections according to inspection plans, drawings and specifications.
- Conduct visual examinations of materials and components to detect damage and defects.
- Execute metrological and dimensional testing using a range of measuring and test equipment.
- Record and document inspection results in inspection reports and the CAQ system.
- Identify, escalate and report quality deviations and non-conformities to supervisors.
- Support creation of claims for defective deliveries in collaboration with the QA expert.
- Monitor adherence to internal quality standards and procedures.
- Ensure traceability of materials and components throughout the supply chain.
- Maintain and perform basic upkeep of measurement and test equipment.
- Contribute to the preparation and update of inspection plans.
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in a technical discipline (e.g., industrial mechanic, toolmaker, warehouse specialist) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in quality assurance or incoming goods inspection is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CAQ systems, ideally Babtec.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
- High quality and responsibility awareness with a meticulous, precise working style.
- Very good German language skills (spoken and written) and good English (spoken and written).
