RIMOWA seeks a Head of COO Office in Cologne to shape and drive the Operations agenda, translating operational and technical challenges into structured analysis, recommendations, and executable initiatives. The role combines strategic planning, operational improvement, cross-functional project leadership, and executive communication across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and procurement; it is a permanent, full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the COO in developing, executing, and monitoring strategic plans and initiatives for the manufacturing division, ensuring alignment and progress across sites.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains across manufacturing facilities; drive best practices, Lean methodologies, and data-driven decisions.
- Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; prepare executive presentations and decision papers for senior leadership and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead critical cross-functional projects and initiatives from conception to completion, taking end-to-end ownership of selected COO priorities.
- Support the COO in fostering a positive work environment and assist with talent development initiatives, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
- Handle ad hoc tasks and special projects as directed by the COO, with flexibility and a proactive approach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Proven project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with ERP/MES systems is a plus.
- Fluent written and spoken English and German.

Experience
At least 5 years in management consulting, industrial strategy, or operations transformation roles.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
