RIMOWA Financial Accountant in Cambridge, Ontario—manage accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting in a luxury manufacturing environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and process accounts receivable, including intercompany invoicing and management reporting
- Conduct month-end inventory valuation and record related adjustments
- Perform daily bank clearing and comprehensive bank reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and timeliness
- Support the month-end close process and ensure adherence to established deadlines
- Prepare and analyze month-end financial reports and KPI reporting
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including prepaids and current liabilities
- Reconcile and file sales tax returns (HST, PST)
- Review and book corporate income tax provisions
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of professional experience in financial accounting roles
- Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles
- Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations including corporate income taxes and sales taxes (HST, PST)
- Demonstrated experience with foreign currency conversions and accounting
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience
1–3 years of professional experience in financial accounting roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Candidates with practical exposure to intercompany transactions, manufacturing cost accounting, and inventory management are particularly valued.
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred but not required.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 60,000 to CAD 75,000 per annum.
