RIMOWA — Data Protection & Digital Law Intern (6‑month internship, Paris). Report to Global DPO; GDPR and digital compliance focus. Start July 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Global DPO in the management and continuous updating of the record of processing activities (RoPA) to ensure GDPR compliance across internal teams.
- Process and monitor data subject access requests and assist with case handling for security incidents.
- Contribute to drafting, reviewing and updating privacy policies, information notices and other data protection documentation.
- Assist in the review and initial negotiation of data processing agreements and IT contracts under DPO supervision.
- Support privacy‑by‑design initiatives and perform or contribute to data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
- Provide legal support to digital and technology projects to align them with applicable digital law and data protection requirements.
- Perform legal and regulatory monitoring on developments in data protection and digital regulation.
- Develop and deliver awareness and training actions for internal stakeholders as requested by the DPO.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and assignments delegated by the DPO.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of a Master 2 (LL.M. equivalent) in Digital Law, Data Protection Law, New Technologies Law, or currently training as an avocat/trainee lawyer.
- Solid knowledge of the GDPR and practical compliance requirements.
- Good understanding of IT contract law and technology-related contractual issues.
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical and synthesis capabilities.
- Professional written and spoken English required; additional language skills are an advantage.
- High standards of confidentiality, rigor, autonomy and proactivity.

Entry-level (débutant). Suitable for a current Master 2 student or recent graduate seeking a 6‑month internship; prior professional experience in privacy/compliance is advantageous but not required.
Education
Master 2 in Digital Law, Data Protection Law, New Technologies Law, or equivalent; trainee lawyer (élève‑avocat) accepted.
