RIMOWA seeks Chief of Staff to COO in Cologne, Germany—strategic operations role blending planning, project leadership, and executive support.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the COO in developing, executing, and monitoring strategic plans and initiatives for the manufacturing division, ensuring alignment and progress across sites
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains across manufacturing facilities, driving implementation of Lean methodologies and best practices
  • Serve as central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, preparing executive presentations and decision papers for senior leadership while facilitating cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead and manage critical cross-functional projects and initiatives from conception to completion, taking end-to-end ownership of selected COO priorities
  • Support the COO in fostering a positive work environment and assisting in talent development initiatives, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness
  • Execute ad-hoc tasks and special projects as directed by the COO with flexibility and proactive approach

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in management consulting, industrial strategy, or operations transformation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated data-driven decision-making capability
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven capabilities in project management and cross-functional leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with ERP/MES systems is advantageous
