RIMOWA seeks Chief of Staff to COO in Cologne. Lead operations strategy and manufacturing excellence in a hybrid role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the COO in developing, executing, and monitoring strategic plans and initiatives for the manufacturing division, ensuring alignment and progress across all sites
- Identify areas for operational improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains across manufacturing facilities, driving the implementation of Lean methodologies and data-driven decisions
- Act as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, preparing high-quality executive presentations and decision papers for senior leadership
- Lead and manage critical cross-functional projects and initiatives from conception to completion, taking end-to-end ownership of selected COO priorities
- Support the COO in fostering a positive work environment, assisting in talent development initiatives, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness
- Handle ad-hoc tasks and special projects as directed by the COO with flexibility and a proactive approach
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in management consulting, industrial strategy, or operations transformation roles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Proven project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with ERP/MES systems is advantageous
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken

Minimum 5 years of experience in management consulting, industrial strategy, or operations transformation roles within manufacturing or related operational environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
