About Rimowa
RIMOWA is the first German maison within the LVMH group, recognised for precision-engineered luggage that merges functional design with luxury craftsmanship. The brand operates globally across retail and manufacturing, offering a heritage-led product portfolio and development opportunities within the wider LVMH ecosystem.
RIMOWA in Cologne seeks a Central Production Planner to optimise factory production and inventory across European sites.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise production requirements for the permanent suitcase assortment, aligning demand forecasts, current inventory, and central stock coverage objectives.
- Maintain and enhance the Production Data Plan (PDP): correct data, refresh files, and propose process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Define and recalibrate factory capacity in collaboration with factory supply chain planning teams; realign post-S&OP capacity based on updated forecasts and central stock targets.
- Run macro-level production simulations and adjust the production mix considering factory constraints and priorities.
- Monitor weekly production performance versus capacity and stock coverage targets; lead weekly coordination meetings with factories (Germany, Canada, Czech Republic) to resolve issues.
- Communicate permanent blocking points and develop tools and reporting to convey risk levels and impacts to central stakeholders.
- Contribute to production-planning projects: review processes and tools, design Production KPIs (e.g., production adherence), and support implementation of new stock policies.
- Implement and govern a weekly PDP routine (files, calls, alerts) applicable across all factories to ensure consistent planning cadence.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain management (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in production planning within a manufacturing or international supply-chain environment.
- Advanced Excel skills (essential) with strong data manipulation and modelling capabilities.
- Fluent English (written and spoken); proficiency in German is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to collaborate and negotiate with cross-functional and multi-geography teams (procurement, production, factories).
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with demonstrated problem-solving skills when working with large datasets.
