RIMOWA Assistant Store Manager in Melbourne, Victoria. Lead store operations, sales and team development for luxury luggage brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead daily store operations and drive sales, customer service and business objectives in alignment with RIMOWA brand standards
- Recruit, train, coach and manage retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional client experiences
- Set clear performance objectives, motivate team members and monitor individual and team performance against KPIs
- Manage stock levels, assortment and merchandise presentation to reflect sales trends and customer demand
- Oversee merchandise receipt, pricing, stock counts and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures
- Achieve agreed sales and performance objectives while driving growth across product categories and client segments
- Monitor local trading environment, competitors and market trends; provide feedback to management
- Ensure store presentation, grooming and housekeeping meet RIMOWA standards
- Oversee payroll, billing, reconciliation and reporting; implement cost control measures
- Maintain effective communication with Head Office, store network and warehouse; prepare accurate business reviews

Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' retail experience, preferably in luxury, premium or fashion retail
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role with demonstrated ability to coach and develop retail teams
- Strong commercial and sales mindset with proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPI objectives
- Excellent client service skills with strong understanding of luxury client expectations
- Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations including stock management, merchandising and store procedures
- Strong business acumen with ability to analyse sales performance and translate insights into actionable strategies

Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience in retail environments, with at least 5–8 years in a supervisory or assistant management capacity within luxury, premium or fashion retail. Demonstrated success in leading teams, achieving sales targets, managing inventory and delivering consistently high client service standards.
