Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the workshop and production line, ensuring timely delivery against production schedules.
- Supervise, mentor and develop a multi‑disciplinary team of watchmakers and technicians, managing rostering and performance.
- Implement and enforce quality-control procedures to meet haute horlogerie standards and internal specifications.
- Manage resource allocation, tooling and equipment maintenance to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities with quality, engineering, supply chain and R&D to resolve production issues and introduce improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (process optimisation, waste reduction, 5S) and capture operational KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and maintain a disciplined, traceable production environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma in watchmaking (CFC) or equivalent technical qualification in micromechanics/precision engineering.
- Proven leadership ability with experience supervising skilled artisan teams in a precision manufacturing context.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methods and inspection techniques applicable to luxury watch components.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions and control plans.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail and a commitment to craft excellence.
Skills
Experience
Minimum five years of practical experience in watchmaking or precision manufacturing, including at least two years in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity within a production or atelier environment.
Education
Diploma in watchmaking (CFC) or equivalent technical qualification in micromechanics/precision engineering.
