Richemont / Jaeger‑LeCoultre seeks a Watchmaker in Munich to service and repair high‑end mechanical watches in the brand’s atelier.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform complete servicing, repair and restoration of high‑end mechanical watch movements to Jaeger‑LeCoultre technical standards.
- Disassemble, clean, replace parts, reassemble and lubricate movements, regulating timing and ensuring water‑resistance where applicable.
- Diagnose mechanical and aesthetic faults using timing machines, microscopes and diagnostic equipment; propose repair options and estimates.
- Document repairs and parts used in the workshop management system and maintain accurate service records.
- Adhere to strict quality control and finishing protocols; ensure compliance with maison service standards and brand warranty policy.
- Collaborate with client‑facing teams to ensure timely turnaround, provide technical explanations to clients and support boutique aftercare.
- Maintain workshop tools, calibration of equipment and control of spare parts inventory; mentor junior technicians when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma in watchmaking or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., WOSTEP, CW21 or recognised national watchmaking certificate).
- Proven experience servicing Swiss mechanical watches; prior experience with high‑complication movements preferred.
- Excellent manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability to work under microscope for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of movement regulation, escapements, chronograph mechanisms and water‑resistance procedures.
- Commitment to precision, cleanliness and the haute‑horology finishing standards of a luxury manufacture.
Skills
Experience
Several years of hands‑on experience in servicing and repairing mechanical wristwatches, ideally gained within a Swiss or high‑end watch service centre or manufacture.
Education
Professional watchmaking diploma or equivalent technical certification (WOSTEP, national watchmaking school certificate or comparable).

This position is based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
