Watchmaker role at Richemont Madrid - diagnose and repair watches, manage operations, support sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair watches with a primary focus on quartz systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Operate and adjust complex machinery and systems to optimize quality and productivity whilst generating solutions to complex inefficiencies
  • Lead day-to-day departmental operations, providing guidance and support to team members and acting as first-line supervisor for transactional operations as needed
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and perform preventive maintenance routines to ensure operational efficiency
  • Process service cases, handle complex customer queries, and resolve issues whilst identifying opportunities for new business and customer retention
  • Conduct inventory-control management activities following established procedures to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Adhere to the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies and procedures, identifying and mitigating operational risks
  • Develop and enhance technical skills through participation in assessment, development planning, and formal and informal training programmes

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary non-tertiary education or equivalent professional qualification in horology or watch repair
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised as an experienced practitioner
  • Limited managerial experience with the capability to lead and support team members effectively
  • Strong technical expertise in watch diagnosis and repair, particularly in quartz systems
