Richemont seeks a Level 4 Watchmaker in Fort Worth — advanced mechanical watch repair, diagnostics and restoration responsibilities for a luxury maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, disassemble, service, repair and reassemble high‑end mechanical watch movements, including chronographs and other complications.
- Perform precision timing, regulation and adjustment using timegraphers and other metrology equipment to ensure factory tolerances are met.
- Execute casework, dial and hand replacement, and water‑resistance testing to manufacturer standards.
- Document repairs and produce accurate technical reports and service estimates; maintain repair logs and parts inventories.
- Participate in quality control inspections and final testing prior to return to client.
- Mentor junior watchmakers and contribute to continuous improvement of workshop processes and technical training.
Qualifications
- WOSTEP certification or an equivalent recognised watchmaking diploma or completion of a formal apprenticeship.
- Proven competency with mechanical calibres; demonstrable experience servicing chronographs and other high‑complication movements.
- Excellent manual dexterity, fine motor control and sustained visual acuity under microscope/loupe.
- Familiarity with service procedures, timing standards and ISO/water‑resistance testing protocols used by luxury watch maisons.
Skills
Experience
Significant professional experience in a luxury or high‑precision watchmaking environment, typically multiple years at a bench level with documented work on mechanical calibres and complications; prior experience training or supervising other technicians is highly desirable.
Education
Diploma in watchmaking (WOSTEP or equivalent) or completion of a recognised apprenticeship programme.
