Richemont seeks a Watchmaker Level 1 in Fort Worth, USA — an entry-level role in precision movement servicing and assembly.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform first-line servicing, diagnosis and basic repairs on mechanical and quartz movements according to manufacturer procedures.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect and reassemble watch movements under supervision; perform lubrication and timing regulation.
- Replace and fit hands, dials, gaskets, crowns and basic exterior components; perform pressure testing and water-resistance checks.
- Use timing machines (timegrapher), microscopes and precision hand tools to verify performance against technical tolerances.
- Document service history and repair actions in the workshop management system; maintain accurate work orders and parts records.
- Maintain a clean, organised bench and ensure tools and equipment are calibrated and safeguarded for high-value timepieces.
- Escalate complex technical faults to senior watchmakers or factory service channels and assist with parts requisition.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by following watchmaker training plans and attending technical workshops.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate from an accredited watchmaking school (WOSTEP, SAWTA or equivalent) or completion of an approved apprenticeship.
- Demonstrable fine motor skills, visual acuity and manual dexterity suited to micro-mechanical assembly.
- Familiarity with basic horological diagnostics and workshop safety procedures.
- Ability to follow technical documentation and standard operating procedures with high attention to detail.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Entry-level role suitable for candidates who have completed formal watchmaking training or an apprenticeship; typically 0–2 years of practical bench experience servicing mechanical and quartz watches is acceptable. Prior exposure to luxury watch brands or authorised service centres is advantageous.
