Richemont is hiring a Watchmaker (Level 4) in Fort Worth — join the after‑sales team to service high‑end mechanical watches.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform complete overhauls, repairs and adjustments on high‑end mechanical and automatic movements to maison technical specifications.
- Diagnose movement faults, source or fabricate replacement components, and execute precise micro‑mechanical repairs.
- Regulate and time movements using timing machines; ensure accuracy and reliability across multiple positions and power states.
- Assemble and fit dials, hands and cases; set functions for chronographs, calendars and other complications with strict adherence to tolerances.
- Execute quality control checks, final testing (including water‑resistance tests where applicable) and document service work in the after‑sales system.
- Maintain workstation cleanliness and calibration of specialised tools (microscope, timing machine, ultrasonic cleaner, demagnetizer).
- Collaborate with parts, technical support and client relations teams to prioritise turnaround times and communicate repair status to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Diploma from an accredited watchmaking school (WOSTEP, AWCI or equivalent) or completion of a formal apprenticeship in horology.
- Level of certification or internal qualification consistent with a 'Level 4' watchmaker (demonstrable mastery of mechanical movements and complications).
- Strong manual dexterity, visual acuity and proven ability to work under microscope for extended periods.
- Ability to read technical service manuals and movement schematics; understanding of brand service standards and documentation requirements.
Skills
Experience
Typically five or more years of progressive experience in high‑end watch servicing or manufacture, including documented work on chronographs and common complications; prior experience within a maison after‑sales service or authorised service centre is strongly preferred.
Education
Diploma or certification from an accredited watchmaking school or equivalent apprenticeship/technical training in horology.
