Richemont seeks a Watch Laboratory Technician in Le Sentier, Switzerland — perform chronometry, quality and reliability testing for premium timepieces.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform precision chronometry and functional tests on mechanical and quartz movements, including timing analysis and regulation.
  • Execute environmental, shock and water‑resistance testing according to internal protocols and applicable industry standards.
  • Disassemble, inspect and reassemble movements and components to diagnose faults and verify corrective actions.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation — timing machines, microscopes, pressure testers and metrology tools — ensuring regular calibration and traceability.
  • Record, analyse and report test results; generate technical dossiers and support non‑conformity investigations with clear root‑cause documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, quality and production teams to develop test plans for new models and to validate corrective engineering changes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory procedures, test methods and equipment maintenance schedules to enhance repeatability and throughput.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, cleanliness and quality management procedures in the laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Swiss Federal VET certificate in watchmaking (CFC) or equivalent vocational qualification in horology or micro‑mechanics.
  • Strong manual dexterity and experience working under a microscope with fine mechanical components.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed test protocols.
  • Methodical approach to data collection, with capacity to produce concise technical reports.
  • Fluency in safety and quality procedures relevant to laboratory and production environments.
