Richemont seeks a Warehouse Operator in Amsterdam to manage picking, shipping, inbound, and returns for a European luxury goods distribution hub.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute picking operations by hand or RF-gun for spare parts and finished products according to picking lists for wholesalers, boutiques, repair platforms, and end-customers across Europe, ensuring daily processing of all deliveries
  • Verify and sort picked orders by reference and quantity, and organize orders per client as needed
  • Create shipments in SAP/ERP and EWM systems and generate appropriate carrier software documentation for all outbound orders and vendor returns
  • Print and prepare shipping documents including labels, packing lists, and special delivery instruction labels; ensure proper product packing for shipment
  • Identify non-EU and special destinations; create, print, sign, and maintain necessary export documents in compliance with customs regulations, ADR Awareness requirements, and CITES protocols for endangered species shipments
  • Prepare copies of export documents and manifests for carriers, ensuring alignment with actual shipments
  • Receive and verify deliveries from suppliers and carriers, checking quality and quantity of parcels and setting arrival flags in SAP systems
  • Check contents of each parcel against included documentation (packing lists/invoices) and verify quantity and quality; notice and document discrepancies
  • Record claims in ERP systems, maintain accurate stock levels, and communicate discrepancies to the central team via email with follow-up actions
  • Address local claims arising from misplaced items in warehouse stock
  • Check returning spare parts and finished products from end-customers, wholesalers, and boutiques
  • Receive returned products into correct storage locations via SAP/EWM systems based on quality and intended purpose
  • Store products in appropriate physical locations according to product type and quality standards
  • Record return-related claims and maintain stock accuracy; communicate issues to central team and follow up accordingly
  • Place items by brand and category into designated bin and stock locations managed by reference number
  • Create new storage locations when existing bins are unavailable or insufficient
  • Organize cupboards and storage areas; maintain all storage bins in an orderly condition
  • Participate in annual and bi-annual physical stock takes according to established guidelines

Qualifications

  • MBO-level education acquired through formal education or equivalent professional experience
  • 3–5 years of overall professional experience at a professional level
  • More than 2 years of experience in a similar administrative or warehouse role
  • Advanced proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic SAP knowledge (preferred but not required)
  • Strong customer focus and hands-on mentality
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
  • Comfort working with numbers and numerical sequences
  • Ability to manage high-volume demands efficiently, quickly, and flexibly
  • Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with computer systems and technology
  • Physical flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities

Overall professional experience of 3–5 years at a professional level required.

Education

MBO-level education (or equivalent) acquired through formal education or professional experience. Candidates with relevant vocational training in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management are encouraged to apply.
