Dunhill seeks a Visual Merchandising Senior Manager in Tokyo to lead flagship and in-store visual strategy across the region.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and implement the global and regional visual merchandising strategy to uphold and evolve Dunhill's brand expression across retail environments.
- Lead conception and execution of seasonal window displays, in-store theatre and fixture programmes for flagship and multi-store rollouts.
- Manage, mentor and mobilize the visual merchandising team; appoint and coordinate external vendors, scenic producers and contractors.
- Partner with retail operations, marketing, product and store design to align merchandising concepts with assortment, campaign timing and commercial objectives.
- Oversee store layout planning, planograms and fixture specifications; drive consistency through VM guidelines and audit processes.
- Control VM project budgets and timelines for shop-fit refreshes, pop-ups and merchandising installations, ensuring quality and cost discipline.
- Travel to domestic and regional stores to implement concepts, deliver training and evaluate performance against visual KPIs and sell-through metrics.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of progressive visual merchandising experience within luxury fashion or high-end retail, including leadership responsibility.
- Proven track record delivering concepts for flagship stores and multi-store rollouts; portfolio of executed VM campaigns required.
- Strong leadership and team-development skills, with experience managing internal teams and external production partners.
- Commercial acumen with experience managing VM budgets, schedules and vendor relationships.
- Excellent visual and aesthetic judgement with an ability to translate brand DNA into retail experiences.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexibly around store openings and campaign deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in visual merchandising, fashion design, retail management or equivalent professional experience.
