Cartier Japan seeks a High-End VIP Manager in Tokyo to lead luxury customer relationships, VIP events, and team development across the boutique network.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead VIP customer relationship strategy and execution in partnership with the High-End Business Associate Director, driving customer retention, upgrading, and recruitment to sustain growth
- Plan, execute, and provide on-site support for overseas VIP tours and domestic gala dinners in collaboration with the Event Sales Promotion team, ensuring consistently exceptional brand experiences
- Maximize advertising and promotion returns for VIP customers through collaboration with the High-End Business Development Senior Manager
- Develop high-end sales talent and coaching mentorship programs across the boutique network, particularly focused on VIP customer relationship-building skills
- Manage VIP customer data visibility and implement strategic investment plans based on sales performance and customer potential, providing comprehensive boutique support
- Drive VIP customer acquisition and retention through proactive network-building with external intermediaries and business partners
- Expand the VIP and VVIP customer base through database management, customer segmentation strategies, and targeted recruitment initiatives
- Lead personalized one-to-one client treatment planning and execution at key boutiques to enhance customer satisfaction and engagement
- Serve as the strategic liaison between Cartier Japan headquarters, regional offices in Hong Kong, and the local VIP relations team
- Benchmark luxury industry best practices in customer treatment and VIP retention strategies, translating insights into actionable business improvements
- Orchestrate gala dinners and company dinners, managing guest curation, seating arrangements, and content programming to maximize impact
- Establish and strengthen external network partnerships with business leaders and cultural influencers to expand Cartier's brand reach and positioning
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, preferably within luxury brand environments
- Demonstrated expertise in Client Relationship Management (CRM) practices, particularly in high-end or luxury sector contexts
- Proven track record of managing VIP clientele and consistently achieving sales targets
- Exceptional ability to create memorable, personalized experiences tailored to individual customer lifestyles and preferences
- Advanced skills in customer data management, accurate record-keeping, and disciplined follow-up protocols
- Demonstrated competency in articulating brand unique selling propositions and effectively communicating value to discerning clientele
- Fluency in both Japanese and English at business level or higher
- CRM system proficiency or similar customer management tools (desirable)
