Richemont seeks a Training Manager in Tokyo to lead learning & development for retail and corporate teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and continuously improve end-to-end learning strategies and curricula for retail and corporate teams across the Tokyo market.
  • Lead classroom and digital training programmes, including onboarding, product education, selling skills and leadership development.
  • Manage delivery models: internal trainer cohorts, external vendor partners and train‑the‑trainer initiatives to scale learning across boutiques.
  • Oversee administration of learning systems and courseware, ensuring content localisation and cultural relevance for the Japanese market.
  • Partner with regional brand, retail and HR stakeholders to align learning objectives with commercial targets and brand positioning.
  • Define learning KPIs; measure training effectiveness through assessments, performance metrics and post‑training ROI analyses.
  • Prepare and manage local training budgets, schedules and resource allocation; report progress to regional L&D leadership.
  • Coach and mentor trainers and frontline leaders to foster a continuous learning culture and ensure quality of delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in learning & development or training management, preferably in luxury retail or premium service environments.
  • Experience designing and delivering both classroom and digital learning content, with demonstrable results.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capability to translate business needs into measurable learning outcomes.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills; experience managing external training vendors or agencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Education or related field; professional L&D certification (e.g., CIPD, ATD) preferred.
