Van Cleef & Arpels Training Manager in Taipei – lead boutique team development, training programmes, and talent initiatives for luxury jewelry retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and budget annual training programmes in coordination with the regional team, with monthly reporting to the retail director on expenditure and compliance
- Design and implement customized training modules for boutique staff in collaboration with the retail director, leveraging both external trainers and internal resources
- Conduct regular field coaching visits to boutique locations to enhance selling skills and service standards, with particular focus on new team members
- Analyse mystery shopper results and develop corresponding action plans with follow-up activities to ensure service quality standards
- Administer and analyse yearly talent pool assessments (KPIS) and develop individual and cohort development plans aligned with performance data
- Source and manage external training partners, maintaining relationships with local sales experts and trainers to ensure quality delivery
- Oversee creation, translation, and proofreading of training materials and documentation for headquarters
- Coordinate annual team building and sales conference activities for office and boutique staff
- Provide bi-weekly coaching and performance follow-up with boutique managers, adjusting coaching strategies based on results
- Develop action plans for each boutique team member to advance technical and interpersonal skillsets
- Conduct weekly boutique visits to deliver coaching, role-plays, and high jewelry selling skills training
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual coaching effectiveness reports and FTE KPI reports via the LMS system
- Plan and coordinate high-end community talent development initiatives, including high jewelry, high-end watches, and specialized product weeks
- Ensure consistency in service quality and brand image across the network; oversee staff uniform and grooming standards in coordination with retail operations
- Collaborate with design, operations, performance, and marketing teams to align training initiatives with the Maison's strategic objectives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail training management or talent development within luxury sectors
- Strong knowledge of high jewelry and luxury watch products, or demonstrated ability to acquire such expertise
- Experience in designing and delivering effective training programmes for sales teams
- Proficiency in performance analytics and KPI-driven development methodologies
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin); additional regional languages beneficial
Skills
Experience
5-7 years of progressive experience in retail training, talent development, or performance management, preferably within luxury jewelry, watchmaking, or high-end retail sectors. Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing training programmes that have measurably improved team performance and sales outcomes.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related discipline. Additional certifications in talent management, performance coaching, or luxury retail are advantageous.
