Cartier seeks a Tools & Consumables Manager in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Lead tooling operations, supplier partnerships, and production support transformation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Organize and optimize departmental operations, define technical expertise development, and foster team versatility and autonomy
- Ensure fluid and regular communication across all levels (upward, downward, lateral) and promote Cartier's values
- Foster a healthy and stimulating work environment and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders
- Rationalize production costs and implement a procurement strategy aligned with organizational ecosystem values
- Negotiate competitive pricing with suppliers and optimize inventory management
- Deploy the departmental transformation roadmap, digitalize operational workflows, and automate processes
- Rationalize the Cartier Watchmaking product portfolio
Qualifications
- Advanced technical diploma (HND equivalent) or higher in mechanics or microtechnology, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience demonstrating dynamism and autonomy
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities
- Knowledge of SAP and proficiency with standard computer applications
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate industrial challenges into operational solutions
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a production support, supply chain, or manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong autonomy, initiative, and commitment to operational excellence. Prior experience managing tools, consumables, or spare parts inventory is advantageous.
Education
Advanced technical diploma or higher qualification in mechanics, microtechnology, horological engineering, or equivalent professional certification recognized in the Swiss or international technical education framework.
