Richemont seeks a Time & Methods Specialist (maternity cover) in Scandicci, Italy to drive production efficiency and standardise manufacturing methods.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies and work‑measurement analyses to establish standard times and labour requirements for production operations.
- Map and analyse manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks and develop improvement proposals to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Define and document standard work instructions, balancing procedures and ergonomic best practices for artisanal and line production.
- Collaborate with production managers, supervisors, quality and planning to implement process changes and monitor KPIs.
- Support pilot runs, line layout adjustments and capacity assessments; translate findings into actionable improvement plans.
- Train operators and supervisors on standard times, new methods and continuous‑improvement tools; prepare clear technical reports and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven knowledge of work measurement techniques (time study, MTM or equivalent) and familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to translate data into actionable process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and operator training.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in production engineering, industrial engineering or time & methods roles within a manufacturing environment; prior exposure to luxury goods, artisanal production or small‑batch manufacturing is highly relevant.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical diploma; postgraduate or specialised training in work measurement or lean manufacturing is advantageous.
