A. Lange & Söhne seeks Technology Director in Glashütte, Germany—lead technology strategy and innovation for this luxury watchmaker.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning, development, and implementation of technological solutions aligned with business objectives
- Direct a team of technology experts ensuring delivery of technical documentation, fixtures, and tools for product innovation
- Manage complex projects from conception through implementation and optimization
- Drive process optimization initiatives and foster innovation across the technology department
- Collaborate closely with other departments to integrate technological solutions across the organization
- Develop and mentor team members, fostering talent growth and organizational capability
Qualifications
- Completed degree in engineering or business administration
- Alternatively, completed technical vocational training as a watchmaker or tool mechanic with additional qualification such as Master Craftsperson or Technician
- Multiple years of relevant professional experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing complex projects
- Proven ability to lead, build, and develop strong, efficient teams
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels with demonstrated empathy and interpersonal effectiveness
- Excellent technical understanding combined with entrepreneurial thinking and results-oriented approach
- Fluency in German and English; French is advantageous

Multiple years of professional experience in a similar leadership role within an industrial or manufacturing setting, with a strong technical foundation. Successful track record planning and implementing complex projects. Demonstrated experience building and leading efficient, high-performing teams.
Education
Completed degree in engineering or business administration; alternatively, completed technical vocational training as a watchmaker or tool mechanic with additional professional qualification such as Master Craftsperson or Technician.
