Richemont Technical Retail Associate
Richemont seeks a Technical Retail Associate (temporary) in Shelton, CT to provide in‑boutique technical support and after‑sales service for luxury products.

Role & Responsibilities
- Provide in‑boutique technical expertise and diagnostics for precision products, advising clients on functionality, care and basic troubleshooting.
- Support sales advisors by delivering product demonstrations, technical explanations and hands‑on client consultations that reinforce brand positioning.
- Perform preparatory and minor maintenance tasks (e.g., strap changes, sizing, functional checks) to boutique quality standards and escalate complex repairs to the central service centre.
- Manage intake, documentation and tracking of items for service; liaise with after‑sales teams and external service centres to ensure timely resolution and accurate client communication.
- Operate POS and clienteling tools to process transactions, record service histories and update CRM records in accordance with brand procedures.
- Maintain boutique presentation and inventory accuracy for technical product categories; ensure technical equipment and workstations meet safety and brand standards.
- Contribute to team knowledge by sharing technical updates, participating in product trainings and supporting merchandising or launch activities as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational qualification in watchmaking, horology, electronics or precision mechanics preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in luxury retail, after‑sales service, or technical support for precision products; boutique experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and client service skills with a polished, professional manner appropriate to a luxury environment.
- Superior manual dexterity, attention to fine detail and the ability to work with small mechanical components safely.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends, and to adapt to fluctuating boutique needs during temporary assignment periods.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 2+ years in luxury retail or after‑sales roles with direct exposure to precision products (watches, instruments or technical accessories). Practical experience in a service or technician capacity within a boutique environment is highly valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; certification or apprenticeship in watchmaking, horology, electronics or a related technical discipline preferred.
