Panerai seeks Technical Design Intern in Neuchâtel to develop innovative rotating bezel systems; R&D focus on feasibility analysis, prototyping, and collaboration with Milan design team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine an innovative rotating bezel locking system within the R&D department
  • Conduct comprehensive state-of-the-art analysis and patent research to inform design strategy
  • Perform feasibility and resistance analyses to validate proposed designs against Panerai's strict laboratory testing standards
  • Collaborate actively with the Milan Design team to integrate technical and aesthetic requirements throughout the design phase
  • Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings to translate concepts into functional prototypes
  • Manage project progression from initial research through final recommendations with structured documentation and presentations
  • Explore prospective innovations in bezel-locking materials and methodologies to identify future development opportunities

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (EPF or equivalent)
  • Mechanical engineering background
  • Proficiency with CREO CAD software (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptive capacity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • English language proficiency at B2 level minimum
  • Demonstrated passion for product design, innovation, and creative problem-solving
