Richemont seeks a Supply Chain Engineer in Plan‑les‑Ouates, Switzerland to optimise manufacturing and logistics processes for luxury watchmaking.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement and continuously improve supply chain and production processes to increase efficiency, reduce lead times and protect product quality across watchmaking and high-value manufacturing operations.
- Lead cross-functional projects with procurement, planning, production, quality and logistics to resolve bottlenecks and align material flows with demand forecasts.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor inventory, service levels, on‑time delivery and capacity utilisation; present findings and recommended actions to stakeholders.
- Support ERP and supply chain systems initiatives (requirements, testing, data validation and roll‑out), ensuring integration with planning and manufacturing modules.
- Perform root-cause analysis and apply Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies to reduce waste, variance and non‑conformances in production and logistics.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve inbound quality, lead times and visibility; contribute to supplier selection and performance evaluation.
- Prepare technical and commercial documentation for continuous improvement projects, capital investments and process standardisation.
- Provide hands‑on support on the shop floor as required to validate solutions and ensure sustainable adoption of process changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a closely related discipline; a master's degree is advantageous.
- Proven experience (typically 3–7 years) in supply chain, manufacturing engineering or operations improvement roles—experience in luxury goods, watchmaking or precision manufacturing preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of leading cross‑functional projects and delivering measurable process improvements.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience building and interpreting KPI dashboards and conducting root‑cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain modules; experience in system implementation or configuration is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies.
