Store and Events Operations Manager at Vhernier (Milan, Italy) – luxury jewelry retail design and visual merchandising leadership role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage design concepts for new boutiques, renovations, and special projects in alignment with Vhernier's brand identity and luxury standards
  • Collaborate with external architects, designers, and suppliers to oversee project execution from conceptualization through opening, including space planning, material selection, furnishings, and lighting
  • Manage budgets and timelines for all store design initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to financial and scheduling parameters
  • Define and implement Vhernier's global visual merchandising strategy, encompassing window displays, in-store exhibitions, product presentation, and seasonal campaigns
  • Create and distribute comprehensive visual merchandising guidelines to ensure consistency and excellence across all boutiques and multibrand retail locations
  • Develop creative concepts for seasonal campaigns, collection launches, and special events in collaboration with Marketing and Communication teams
  • Train and mentor sales teams and retail managers on the application of visual merchandising protocols
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies, proposing continuous improvements and market-responsive adaptations
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Store Design and Visual Merchandising team, fostering collaborative and proactive approaches
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, design agencies, and partners
  • Provide reporting and monitor annual budgets for retail and wholesale investments in store design and sales spaces in coordination with the finance and accounting department

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of progressive international experience in Store Design and/or Visual Merchandising roles, preferably within the luxury sector (jewelry, fashion, watchmaking)
  • Strong creative abilities and refined aesthetic sensibility with deep understanding of luxury design principles
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management, capable of managing multiple concurrent initiatives and meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written command of Italian and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple departments and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel frequently nationally and internationally for site visits and project supervision
