Van Cleef & Arpels seeks Store Design Senior Manager in Tokyo, Japan to lead boutique architecture and design across 20+ locations nationwide.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Store Design team in Japan, establishing clear roles, efficient workflows, and sustained capability building whilst fostering a collaborative, innovative team culture in a rapid growth context
- Drive large-scale retail architecture projects from concept through delivery, coordinating internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring quality compliance and timely project execution
- Elevate client and staff experiences by designing boutiques that inspire clientele whilst providing teams with efficient, functional, and engaging workspaces
- Establish and maintain boutique design standards across the network to ensure consistency with the maison's global architectural vision and brand identity
Qualifications
- Extensive experience leading large-scale retail architecture projects in global and dynamic environments from concept to successful delivery
- Advanced technical and architectural knowledge, including proficiency in CAD and SketchUp software
- Relevant architectural degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong understanding of architecture-related laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks
- Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams in matrix environments

Experience
Extensive leadership experience in retail or hospitality design management, with demonstrated success orchestrating complex, multi-site architectural projects in global environments. Proven track record managing and developing high-performing design teams in fast-paced, innovation-driven settings.
Education
Architectural degree or equivalent professional certification in architecture, interior design, or related discipline; continuing education in retail design or commercial architecture is advantageous.
