Richemont seeks a Store Design Project Manager in Madrid to lead luxury boutique fit-outs and ensure brand-quality delivery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end store design and fit-out projects for luxury boutiques, from briefing and technical design through to installation, snagging and handover.
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams including internal design, procurement, visual merchandising, local operations and external contractors to deliver on time, on budget and to brand standards.
- Develop and control project budgets, monitor costs, prepare forecasts and manage change orders and commercial contracts.
- Produce and review technical drawings, specifications and shop drawings; ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations and accessibility requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinate site activities, perform regular site inspections and resolve construction or delivery issues promptly.
- Safeguard luxury finish quality through supplier selection, sample approvals, mock-ups and quality-control procedures during manufacture and on site.
- Coordinate logistics and installation planning for fixtures, joinery and technical systems, including liaison with store operations to minimise trading disruption.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, standardising specifications and supporting roll-out toolkits for regional/multi-site implementations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Proven ability to manage complex retail fit-outs for premium or luxury brands, with strong commercial and technical acumen.
- Project management certification (PMP, Prince2 or equivalent) preferred.
- Demonstrable knowledge of local building regulations and construction practices relevant to retail fit-outs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills with contractors, suppliers and internal cross-functional partners.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish and business-level English is preferred for effective communication across teams.

Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive experience managing retail store design and fit-out projects, including direct responsibility for budgetary control, contractor coordination and delivery of luxury boutique environments. Experience with international roll-outs or multi-site programmes is strongly desirable.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering or Construction Management; professional project management certification preferred.
