Richemont Staff Accountant role in Shelton, CT. Finance position supporting luxury retail accounting, closes, and IFRS compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive general accounting functions, including journal entry preparation, general ledger reconciliations, and balance sheet and P&L account analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial month-end and year-end closing processes, adhering to IFRS and Group reporting standards
- Advise Brands and support functions on appropriate accounting treatment of transactions and business drivers
- Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including creation, maintenance, and monitoring of CAPEX reporting
- Oversee and execute monthly lease accounting processes, including review of lease agreements and preparation of monthly lease accounting entries
- Review trial balance and provide commentary on variances
- Actively participate in and support annual external and internal audits
- Support process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, compliance, and best practices
- Support and participate in ad-hoc accounting projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with accounting minor
- 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in multinational or retail environment
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts, including proficiency in P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet analysis
- Proactive learner eager to develop accounting skills
- Result-oriented team player capable of working in fast-paced, multi-unit environment
- Strong analytical skills with high level of integrity
- Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience
1–3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a multinational or retail environment, with demonstrated competency in general accounting functions and closing processes.
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with an accounting minor.
