Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform complete diagnostics, servicing, repair and restoration of high-end mechanical watches, including complicated calibres (tourbillon, perpetual calendar, minute repeater).
  • Disassemble, clean, reassemble and regulate movements to Vacheron Constantin technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Execute fine finishing work, hand-setting, polishing and component refinishing when required.
  • Use timing machines and microscopes to control tolerance, amplitude and rate; document test results and service history precisely.
  • Manage parts requisitions, stock of spare components and liaison with central service or manufacture for complex repairs.
  • Carry out final quality control, water-resistance and performance tests prior to client return.
  • Advise boutique staff and, when appropriate, communicate technical information to clients in a clear and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organised bench and adhere to atelier safety and anti-static procedures.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in watchmaking (WOSTEP, SAWTA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Demonstrable training or certification in mechanical watch servicing and regulation.
  • Proven ability to service haute horlogerie complications and delicate finishing operations.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, visual acuity and rigorous attention to microscopic detail.
  • Strong record-keeping skills and familiarity with workshop quality-control protocols.

Experience

Diploma in Watchmaking (WOSTEP or equivalent) preferred.
