Richemont seeks a Spare Parts Operations Assistant Manager in Tokyo to lead spare‑parts inventory, procurement and after‑sales logistics for watch and jewellery maisons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day spare parts operations including inventory control, replenishment and order fulfilment for after‑sales service centres.
- Develop and maintain demand-forecasting models and parts replenishment plans to optimise availability and minimise obsolescence.
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships for parts procurement, negotiate terms, and ensure quality and lead‑time adherence.
- Coordinate with in‑house watchmakers, repair centres and regional service teams to prioritise parts allocation and resolve escalations.
- Define and monitor KPIs (fill rate, lead time, inventory turns, obsolescence) and drive continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Oversee customs, import/export compliance and documentation for international parts flows in collaboration with trade compliance teams.
- Supervise and coach a small operations team; foster cross‑functional collaboration with logistics, customer service and product teams.
Qualifications
- Proven background in spare parts, after‑sales or inventory operations, preferably within watches, jewellery or other luxury goods.
- Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, procurement cycles and international parts logistics.
- Strong analytical capability with experience setting and reporting on operational KPIs.
- Leadership and people‑management skills; ability to coach teams and manage cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Fluency in business processes for import/export and trade compliance relevant to parts distribution.
