Richemont seeks a Senior Watchmaker in Fort Worth, USA — experienced horologist for servicing, repair and assembly of high‑end mechanical watches.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnosis, disassembly, overhaul, repair and assembly of high-end mechanical movements and complications to brand quality standards.
- Regulate and time movements using timing equipment; perform precision adjustments to ensure chronometric performance.
- Execute water‑resistance, pressure and performance testing and document results in accordance with after‑sales procedures.
- Fabricate, modify or source replacement components when required; perform fine finishing and hand‑work to preserve aesthetic standards.
- Lead and mentor more junior watchmakers; provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to bench standards and workflow.
- Maintain workshop tooling and instruments, manage calibration schedules and keep accurate service records and parts inventories.
- Collaborate with customer service, parts and quality teams to provide technical feedback and continuous improvements to service processes.
Qualifications
- Formal watchmaking qualification (WOSTEP, CW21 or equivalent) preferred.
- Certified training on brand-specific movements or complications is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and experience with micromechanical assembly and hand finishing.
- Strong understanding of chronograph, calendar and other haute-horlogerie complications.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience servicing high‑end mechanical watches or working in an authorised atelier; proven track record with complex movements and demonstrated ability to train or supervise junior technicians.
Education
Vocational watchmaking diploma or equivalent apprenticeship; formal certification (WOSTEP/CW21 or comparable) preferred.
