Chloé seeks a Senior Visual Merchandiser to lead European visual identity and boutique presentations. Paris-based role managing regional VM strategy and team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning and execution of Visual Merchandising activities across the European region, including collection launches, product rotations, window installations, and boutique events
  • Supervise the opening of new boutiques and pop-up locations, ensuring consistent brand presentation from inception
  • Ensure strict implementation of Headquarters visual guidelines across all boutiques, communicating these standards via the dedicated internal photo platform
  • Maintain visual consistency and brand coherence across the regional zone through regular audits and best-practice documentation
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for retail teams on visual merchandising standards and evolving brand directives
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to optimize boutique layouts and design displays consistent with available assortments and stock levels
  • Work in partnership with country managers, store managers, and boutique teams to align visual merchandising strategies with commercial objectives and customer insights
  • Share field observations and insights to continuously improve boutique display productivity and effectiveness
  • Monitor the development of window and pop-up concepts whilst identifying and vetting key partners and vendors
  • Manage regional budgets for visual merchandising tools, including light boxes, video installations, floral arrangements, mannequins, hangers, logistics, and related equipment
  • Oversee team travel expenses and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the regional visual merchandising team whilst fostering cross-market collaboration
  • Serve as the regional expert and ambassador for visual merchandising excellence, championing continuous improvement and innovation
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with global and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment on visual merchandising initiatives
  • Participate in identifying and training 'VM Ambassadors' across the European zone and lead community engagement activities
  • Travel across markets to conduct inspections, provide training, and strengthen operational partnerships

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in visual merchandising within luxury retail, ideally within fashion or accessories
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing regional visual merchandising operations across multiple countries
  • Proven track record of developing and leading visual merchandising teams
  • Strong understanding of luxury brand identity and the ability to translate strategic vision into cohesive retail presentations
  • Experience in budget management and vendor relations within a visual merchandising context
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder management capabilities across diverse markets and organizational levels

Experience

Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in visual merchandising, with at least 3–5 years in a regional or multi-market leadership role. Previous experience managing teams, coordinating boutique openings, and implementing brand guidelines across multiple locations is essential. Experience within the luxury fashion or accessories sector is highly preferred.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Additional training or certification in visual merchandising or luxury retail management is advantageous.
